Ep 272 – The Birth Information & Tracing Act and Carole Scanlon’s Dance School

In Part 1… Martin interviews Roderic O’Gorman, Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth and talks about the new legislation signed into Irish law this year. The Birth Information and Tracing Act 2022 provides right of access to birth certificates, birth and early life information for all persons who were adopted, boarded out, the subject of an illegal birth registration and those who might have questions in relation to their origins. Martin and Minister O’Gorman take us through how the new legislation will work.

In part 2…  We’re in Birmingham celebrating with Carole Scanlon. It’s a double celebration as it’s 50 years since Carole founded the Scanlon School of Irish Dancing and it’s a milestone birthday too! We meet Carole’s family, friends and some world champion dancers, including the legend that is Alliyah O’Hare, seven time World Champion!

Find out just why Carole is so driven and so successful!
