Ep 289 – The London Galway Association Annual Dinner Dance

Celebrating 66 years of the Galway Association, it’s the annual dinner dance at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick. Covid put a halt to the last few years but now the event is back, bigger and stronger.

Musical entertainment from Martin Ruddy (yes he’s a Mayo man but they let him in!) and interviews with the committee and those that make this event happen.

We meet Jack Glynn, GAA Young Player of the Year and Under 20 All Ireland Winner and talk to Michael Burke, Chairman of the Galway GAA County Board.

The Galway Association always awards a Person of the Year, and this time, it’s the turn of Finbar Burke who has done so much for the association and the GAA.

We also talk to recently ordained Fr Damien Burke about his spiritual journey and what it takes to be an Irish priest in the UK.

It’s a busy evening! How do we squeeze so much in?
