This week we return to the London Irish Vintage Club Charity Day at Greenford.
Celebrating its 11 year, the London Irish Vintage Club has a great day of music, dance and fun activities as well as lots of classic vehicles and machinery.
Organised by Brendan Vaughan from Donegal, we get to see some rare vintage vehicles accompanied by music from Derek Ryan and Slim Attraction amongst others.
The day starts with the vehicles assembled at Berry Farm, Wexham as they prepare to drive in convoy to the show-ground , 12 miles away in Greenford.
We chat to Tony and Bernadette McGovern of McGovern Haulage. They have been involved with this fundraising event since its founding. The day has always raised huge amounts of money for charity and this year looks to be a record breaker.
Martin Fraser, Ireland’s Ambassador to the UK speaks to us about the huge contribution that the Irish make to this country.
The sun shines and the music plays. Throw in some dancing and some vintage machines and you have a great day out.
