Ep 421 – Control Line Aerobatics in County Cork

This week we’re taking you to County Cork for a weekend of aerobatic flying. The Home International was founded in Belfast 40 years ago and has teams of model pilots from Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland competing.

Event organiser and part of the Irish team, Kevin Barry, speaks to us about the competition and also tells us his story of migrating “the other way”.

The flying is very fast and all the stunts take place only a few metres above the ground.

The Mayor of County of Cork, Cllr. Joe Carroll came along to present prizes and even had a go!
