In Part 1… We’re at the Warrington Irish Centre for an evening of entertainment provided by the Irish Rambling House.
Formed in Limerick in the 90s, the Irish Rambling House is a non-profit group set up to promote Irish traditional music, song, dance and storytelling in England and Ireland.
We talk with co-founder Joe Harrington about how the group came together.
In Part 2… We’re with the Luton Irish Forum for their Autumn Camp. Since the formation of their youth team, the forum operates activities aimed at the younger generation including event weeks and school visits.
The Autumn Camp aims to get children away from “screens” and into more physical and social activities.
We speak with Noelette Hanley, the CEO of the Luton Irish Forum and Angel Law, the Youth Programme Co-ordinator about the positive effects of the Autumn Camp.
