In Part 1… We’re in Haslingden, home of the Irish social reformer Michael Davitt.
At St Mary’s RC Primary School, the children are introduced to the history of Davitt and how he shaped the modern world.
We meet some of the children and talk with Head Teacher, Donna McNicoll along with local historian Angus Lindsay
In Part 2… We visit Chesterfield FC’s Memorial Garden for the unveiling of a new mosaic depicting Ernie Moss, Chesterfield’s leading goal scorer. Ernie played for the team between 1968 and 1986.
With talk with Ernie’s wife, Jenny Moss and artist Rob Lally and pay tribute to the “gentle giant” who sadly passed in 1921.
