Ep 453 – Halifax and District Irish Society and Bridget Kennedy

Part 1 takes us to the heart of West Yorkshire as we spend time with the Halifax and District Irish Society. We explore how the society keeps Irish heritage alive in the region. Members share personal stories of migration, identity, and belonging, revealing how the organisation has become a home away from home for generations of Irish families in Halifax.

Part 2 features a heartfelt interview with Bridget Kennedy, wife of the late Paddy Kennedy, who played for Manchester United during the 1960s. Bridget offers a personal insight into more simpler times, despite being married to a professional player at one of the world’s most famous clubs.
