The Irish in the UK-Ep 232- The Luton Mayo Association celebrates their 27th annual dinner dance.

This week, we’re in Luton at the Mayo Association’s 27th annual dinner dance. The pandemic prevented last year’s event but this year, friends and family all come together for a fantastic night of food, fun, music and dance.

We also remember those that have passed over the last few years. Helen Dixon was a dynamic and popular member of the Mayo association. She sadly passed earlier this year and her friends and family pay tribute to her at the evening’s event.

Dinner dances are so much more than a chance to get together. The association fund-raised for two local charities, giving out £6000 to good causes.

Lots of songs, dancing and tales from association members young and old.

Mayo Association, Luton, supports East Anglian Air Ambulance and Luton and Dunstable Stroke Unit.
