In Part 1… We’re in Sunbury, West London with the London Irish Amateur Rugby Football Club. It’s their “Beer, Music & Family Day”, and annual event for everyone associated with the club to come along and enjoy the craic. Plenty of entertainment, good fun and great music.
We speak to the organisers and chat about what makes London Irish ARFC and integral part of local Irish community.
Music from Ronan MacManus and an appearance by London’s entry for the Rose of Tralee makes for a lively part 1.
In part 2… We’re back up the motorway to Manchester and spending time with Colm Farrell. He’s the founder of Stamp Out Suicide and is doing a big fund raiser for this charity, motor biking on a tiny Monkey Bike from John o’ Groats to Land’s End. Colm is famed for his other epic fundraisers, including walking every County in the UK.
To conclude the programme, we meet up with Wayne Devlin. He’s a fantastic singer, actor, producer! When he’s singing, he specialises in tracks by classic entertainers from the 1960s; Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett etc. He’s recently been on a trip to London to receive The British Citizen Award for his amazing charitable services, raising a staggering £750,000 for good causes.
