Ep 285 – It’s the Kerry Association of London Annual Dinner Dance

This week on the Irish in the UK… We are at the Wembley Hilton for the annual Kerry Association Dinner Dance.

 

At this year‘s event, over 500 people attended the bustling evening of music, dance and celebration.

 

We talk with successful businessman, Patrick McGillycuddy who was awarded Kerry Person of the year. His daughter, Natasha and son Eddie both celebrate with us and explain what makes their dad one of the best.

 

Margaret Rochford, secretary of the Kerry Association in London joins us along with RTE presenter Dáithí Ó Sé, who acts as master of ceremonies for the evening.

 

But then there’s star guest of the evening… Sam Maguire!

 

The Kerry team along with Jack O’Connor are there with too but everybody wants Sam’s attention!!

 

With interviews with the new Mayor of Tralee Mike Sheehy; London’s Rose, Hayley Reynolds; Noel O’Sullivan from the GAA and former Kerry Person of the Year, Danny O’Sullivan.

 

We even have World Champion dancing from Joe McGeown and meet Ethel Corduff, author.
