This week on The Irish in the UK, we’re at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick for the London Cork Association’s Annual Dinner Dance.
It’s been 68 years since the Cork Association was founded and it’s still going strong.
We chat to committee members and join in the celebrations.
Also attending is Councillor Deirdre Forde, the Lord Mayor of Cork and Councillor Danny Collins, County Mayor of Cork. Both are passionate about links with Cork and building on the great relationship that they have with the association.
Despite loyal membership and support, the Cork Association needs more contribution from the younger generations. As we highlight in the programme, Irish Associations are a great way to network and find common links that you didn’t know that you had!
With Barry Owen and his band providing the entertainment, the evening rocks along.
