Ep 307 – Asa Murphy – Irish Annie’s and Mike Palmer – 3 Dads Walking

In Part 1… We interview Asa Murphy, fresh from his nationwide tour of Irish Annie’s. Asa created Irish Annie’s with a mixture of traditional and new songs. The musical comedy featuring Ricky Tomlinson, often had guests visiting the Irish bar, including Jason Manford and Billy Butler. As well as creating Irish Annie’s, Asa has released a new album, regularly performs on stage, presents on the radio and has written children’s books. So much energy!

 

In Part 2… Mike Palmer along with two other dads, Andy and Tim formed 3 Dads Walking. All 3 had experienced the tragic loss of their daughters, who had taken their own lives.

It is impossible to put into words the grief that Mike feels.

Mike introduces us to PAPYRUS, a UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.
