Ep 321 – Back with Gerry Flynn Events in Ballina

We’re on our second visit to Ballina with Gerry Flynn and the team. Gerry has been organising Irish themed trips all over the world for many years.

Continuing our visit to the Great National Hotel, Ballina, we meet some of the musicians and hear tales from when it all began.

Lots of dancing, taught by Piret Annus and music from Mick Mackey and Sean Gilsenan amongst many others.

Tess Jordan has been a “regular” for many years, and talks about the lasting friendships she has made since she started coming.

Gerry’s events are not just for sitting and watching! They are full-on dancing, learning to dance if you can’t dance, playing instruments, performing and even a bit of poetry, surrounded by likeminded people.
