In Part 1… We’re at the Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival, meeting up with the Middlewich Paddies. They’ve been performing for 40 years and have decided to pack up their instruments and retire… probably! When they first started, there were seven of them and they called themselves The Kinderton Folk. Now there’s only three. We talk to Dave, Richard and Graham from the band. Also joining us on the show is Jimmy Cricket, performing at the festival and paying tribute to the Paddies.
In Part 2… John Havern and Eddie Richard Sparrow are both big fundraisers through their business, Premier Events. They source and sell sports memorabilia, often through charity events featuring sporting celebrities, but give a sizeable cut of any proceeds to multiple charities. Based in Manchester, John and Eddie have lots of United and City merchandise, much of it very rare. Organising a fundraising event? A signed shirt might be just the thing to auction off.
Eddie also has formed the “Let’s Not Forget Past Blues” Facebook group, to pay tribute to deceased City fans.
