In Part 1… You may know Ann and John McCoy as the grandparents of Nathan and Jake Carter but did you know they tied the knot 60 years ago! Ann has always been the boys number one fan, following them around the world, being a one-woman marketer and promoter. Find out how well travelled Ann is and hear the story behind meeting John, or Grumps as his grandchildren call him. Grumps takes to the stage and at nearly 90 and can still hold his own with the microphone.
Partying in the Liverpool Irish Centre, we hear lots of tributes from friends and family, celebrating with Ann and John.
In Part 2… We’re off to St Joseph’s Care Home in Manchester, run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. The Little Sister are a group of Catholic Nuns dedicated to caring for the elderly in society.
At St Joseph’s, we meet up with Kathleen Elizabeth Molloy who has just turned 104 and Bernard McDevitt who is looking ahead to his 101st birthday. Both have a host of stories to tell, coming over from Ireland to settle in the UK.
