In Part 1… We’re in Rugby spending time at Quigley’s Irish Bar and their steak restaurant, “On the Rocks”. Accompanied by live traditional music, courtesy of the owner Sean Quigley, we have a lively evening of great entertainment and fabulous food.
Quigley’s and On the Rocks are family run businesses, operated by generations of the Quigley family. Sean, the founder has deep roots in the local community and is also responsible for the formation of the Rugby Gaels.
We talk to Alison Quigley Ryan, manager of the bar and restaurant and Ben Crawley, Sean’s grandson.
In Part 2… We’re off to the Northampton Irish Support Group. They provide help and assistance for elderly Irish in the Northampton area, and we join them for their Christmas party.
We talk to Jo Shalley, Community Development Manager and Lollie Huewen-Batson, Community Development Officer. They explain just how essential their services are and how support is provided.
Lots of song and dance, proving you’re never too old to hit the dance floor.
