Ep 360 – St Patrick’s Day Breakfast in Huddersfield & Elderly Irish Advice Network in London

In Part 1… We’re at Huddersfield Town Hall where, for the first time, the Irish flag is to be raised to mark the contribution of the Irish community to the town.

The event is hosted by the Mayor, Councillor Cahal Burke with guest speaker Norma Foley TD, Ireland’s Minister for Education and Justin Roche, part of the Huddersfield St Patrick’s Day committee.

In Part 2… Off to London to meet Sally Mulready OBE, the Founder and Life President of the Elderly Irish Advice Network.

The network supports those that need a little help coping with the impact of loneliness and the stresses of modern times. With regular events that bring people in from all across London, the network provides a valuable service for the elderly Irish.

We join the team as they have a lively daytime event of singing and dancing, with music from Johnny McHugh
