Ep 366 – Celebrating with Cahal Burke, the Mayor of Kirklees and an evening supporting Stamp Out Suicide at Frosty’s Bar in London

In Part 1… We join Councillor Cahal Burke, the Mayor of Kirklees, for a charity fundraising evening. Cahal has come to the end of his 12 month term as the the Mayor and we celebrate with him and his daughter Sinead, the Lady Mayoress, and also raise money for his supported charities.

Cahal has been an extremely active and involved mayor over the last 12 months and we look back on all the events that he has supported.

In Part 2… Over 10 years ago, Colm Farrell set up Stamp Out Suicide, a charity that supports those in need during dark times. Colm has walked the length and breadth of Ireland and England to raise money and tonight, we join him at Frosty’s Bar in Kenton, London for a special play “Prodigal” that highlights complex family relationships.

Prodigal is written and performed by Andrew Carney along with Tom Carney.

We also talk to Liz and Alan “Frosty” Monaghan who run the appropriately named Frosty’s.
