Ep 383 – Fundraising by Eurogold for Claire House Children’s Hospice & Dancing with McGinty

In Part 1… We’re across at Liverpool to meet up with Jess Campbell and Dan Halliday from Claire House Children’s Hospice.

Their fantastic service has been this year’s charity of choice for the Eurogold golf day, and we are joined by Emma Brickland and Emma Cassidy from Eurogold as they present Claire House with a massive sum of money, all raised on the fundraising day.

Charitable donations are essential to keep the good work going at Claire House and this donation from Damien Brickland’s company, gives Claire House the essential financial security that they need.

In Part 2… We’re at the Mazenod Club in Kilburn for a night of song and dance with Michael Troy, better known as McGinty. The Monday night social dance has been part of the woodwork for the last eight years, attracting bands from across the UK and Ireland.

McGinty has some great stories to tell and we meet some of the regular dancers as they reflect on the heyday of dance halls.

Like all good things, Covid dented McGinty’s event but the numbers are still strong, and as a way to keep fit and socialise, there’s nothing better!
