Ep 385 – Fundraising with Leeds Irish Health and Homes & Warrington Irish Club boxing event

In Part 1… We’re in Leeds with the team behind Irish Health and Homes. Ant Hanlon, the Chief Executive talks to us about the essential work provided by LIHH and how fundraising events are key to keeping the services running.

In Part 2… We’re off to the Warrington Irish Club for a day of boxing, all in aid of charity. We meet up with event organisers Chris Whitehead and James Keenan.

James suffered a stroke last year and we highlight just how important it is to know what symptoms look for.

This annual event features young boxers travelling from Dublin and we talk with Derek Ahern, their team coach, about the massive benefits of this highly regulated sport.
