In Part 1… We’re travelling back to just before Christmas and paying a visit to Bishop Challoner Catholic College in Birmingham. Along with local schools, GAA clubs and the Irish Association, they organise an annual toy appeal.
This act of kindness supports families that struggle to finance Christmas as the cost of living continues to soar.
We speak with Eddie O’Connor, Vice Principal and the team from the Birmingham Irish Association that make this event possible.
Christmas might feel like a distant memory but there’s also some carols from two local primary schools, St Mary’s and St Alban’s.
In Part 2… Rugby Gaels GAA was set up 25 years ago and we join their celebrations marking their quarter century.
With guest speaker Jarlath Burns, the President of the GAA, it’s an evening reflecting on the past of the club and looking to the future.
We speak with current players and one of the founders, Sean Quigley.
