In Part 1… We’re in Liverpool at a football match in memory of Tony Grimes RIP.
Tony was a much loved member of the Irish community and we meet up with his friends and family as they celebrate his life and times.
Lots of retired players are back at John Mitchels GAA club to play the traditional Irish game with an atmosphere of “just enjoying themselves”.
GAA is all about the friendships and this match shows this to the full.
In Part 2… We’re in Farnworth, near Bolton, at the newly opened studios of the Shamrock Academy of Irish Dance.
Their new performance studio has been built by the local community and provides an excellent space to promote traditional Irish dancing.
The ribbon was formerly cut by Irish Vice Consul, Deirdre O’Flaherty. We also met up with dance instructors Alexandra Cummins & Jacqueline Drain and hear how the community got involved with this project.
