This week’s programme celebrates the heart and soul of Irish culture, both behind the scenes and centre stage.
In part 1, we pay tribute to a true cornerstone of the community — Tommy McLoughlin. For an extraordinary fifty years, Tommy has been the manager of the Leeds Irish Centre, guiding it with dedication, vision, and an unwavering commitment to its members. Through his leadership, the Centre has grown into the thriving, successful venue it is today — a place of welcome, culture, and community that has touched countless lives.
In part 2, the spotlight turns to the music and the magic of live performance as we feature Asa Murphy, a multi-talented entertainer bringing his energy and musicianship to Connolly’s Irish Pub in Stockport. Known for its lively atmosphere and strong traditional Irish values, Connolly’s is the perfect setting for an evening of great music, laughter, and connection.
Together, these stories reflect the people, places, and passion that keep Irish culture vibrant and alive.
