Ep 448 – Pat Fallon’s Book and Tony Walker’s Epic Journey

In Part One, we meet Pat Fallon, whose book “Nine Pounds and a Suitcase” traces his journey from Ireland to the UK and the life he built along the way. Pat’s story is one of resilience, community, and pride in heritage. Through his writing he has raised over £6,000 for charity, and his connection to Irish culture remains strong as an active dancer with the Claddagh Association of Adult Irish Dance.

Part Two features Tony Walker, whose journey is measured not in pages but in footsteps. Tony walked the length of the country to raise funds for a Ukrainian ambulance charity, undertaking the challenge in loving memory of his wife. Alongside this extraordinary act of dedication, Tony is also a passionate traditional Irish musician, using music as both expression and connection.

Together, these two stories form a programme about movement — across borders, across landscapes, and through life — united by compassion, culture, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.
