Ep 482 – Elsie’s Place and Gus Tierney Celebrates 90 Years

In part 1, we’re at St John’s Church in Ainsdale, where a new Peace Garden, known as Elsie’s Place, has been created as a lasting tribute following the tragic killing of three young girls in Stockport two years ago.

We discover the story behind the garden and meet the local businesses, community groups and individuals who came together to make the project happen.

In part 2, we join Gus Tierney to mark his 90th birthday.

Surrounded by family and friends, Gus looks back on nine decades of life, memories and experiences, while those closest to him celebrate the man who has been such an important part of their lives.
