Ep 483 – Gateway to Manchester TradFest 2026 & Linda Sherlock’s debut novel, Carribay

In part 1, we head to Didsbury for The Gateway to Manchester TradFest 2026, a celebration of Irish traditional music, song, dance and culture. With musicians gathering from across Ireland and the UK, the festival brings the atmosphere of a traditional Irish session to the streets of Manchester. We capture the music, the characters and the community spirit as performers and audiences come together to celebrate Manchester’s strong Irish heritage.

In part 2, we visit Ebb & Flo Bookshop in Chorley for the launch of local author Linda Sherlock’s debut novel, Carribay. Set in a seaside village in 1940s Northern Ireland, the novel follows the lives of five women determined to overcome the challenges facing them. We meet Linda and hear about the inspiration behind the book, while sharing the atmosphere of a special event bringing readers, friends and the local community together.
